I love this tamper! It is beautiful, comfortable and very hefty, weighing in at almost a pound and a half! As a 58mm tamper, you'll find it is just a hair under that nominal width (since most baskets are tapered). To be precise, the tamper base measures 2.28" or 2 9/32" or 57.94mm. There are fancier tampers, but none feel as good (especially if you keep it on your cup warmer tray). Now in a commercial environment, you might tire of manhandling this weighty tamper all day (or develop forearms like Popeye). If you're a home barista, though, you won't regret buying this tamper. It's a simple, functional objet d'art.
